Had a swim up pool room, very clean and spacious. Was a nice to have this room but not nessassary if looking to save some money as the pools, beach and grounds are great. The food and drinks were excellent! Often the mixers at resorts are not good, but all were great here, no complaints. We were there with another couple for big birthday celebration, 5 nights.. Had a great meal at all restaurants, favorite restaurant was Journeys, sat in the rail car. The best beach I've been to in that part of the world, it was clean, no one selling you anything because it is private, and water was blue chest deep for 25ft from the shore with no merky grass spots. Staff were super attentive and friendly. It is one of the first places I said I'd go back to versus trying new resorts. I don't write reviews but felt compelled to do so here as I was really impressed.

I travel quite a bit and the Hyatt Zilara was definitely one of the nicest hotels I've ever visited for MANY reasons. Everything was perfect... the staff, the grounds, food, you name it, it was OUTSTANDING. My entire family was sad to leave. This was the FIRST large resort I stayed in where I wasn't getting up at 6am to "claim" a seat by the pool/ beach every day. Although there were many rooms at the resort (it was sold out the week we were there), it NEVER felt crowded by guests. I also loved the layout... many seating cares to choose from, different pools, etc. Another detail that made a big difference to me was the staff... they would put their hand over their hearts every time they interacted with any of us. They called the gesture "service from the heart" - loved it! I will be telling my friends to visit and will be back!

From the room and it’s amazing view, wonderful staff, and beautiful restaurants to the beach and pool area - everything was just perfect! I have to emphasize the wonderful staff, how polite they are, and very helpful. They organized and helped us with anything we asked for. Special thanks to Angela from the concierge service, she went above and beyond to help organize a special beach dinner and excursion to Isla Saona. (We recommend visiting Isla Saona)

The beach. Breathtaking. Shallow, without waves. Perfect for anyone. The rooms are gorgeous. The food is very good on most restaurants. Especially at the main one that serves breakfast as well. The Indian restaurant is also a must. The staff are the best staff ever. The fire pits with the sofas to chill out. By far the best gym ever. Overall an amazing experience. Good job to everybody, from the person who designed it, to the managers and the workers. Bravo bravo bravo

We appreciated having real glasses at the bars and not plastic. We loved the property and location. Check in process was quick and efficiently smooth. We appreciated the extra curricular activities. Beach was nice. Staff was outstanding.
